 How do audience responses to this product demonstrate sociohistorial circumstances?



- patriarchal hegemony - feminist 
- reflects a very specific and niche issue


- BBC sounds is not radio - downloading information from the internet
- more easily accessible by using BBC sounds webportal - can access everything and different genres eg the sink podcast 
- offers a huge variety of different content - only fit so many radio stations in a certain frequency, but with sounds you can access all of them, even regional networks
- CAN also be applied to the tv industry

- regulated by OFCOM - regulate the radio and tv industry in the UK


To what extent is Late night women's hour affected by regulatory issues?
- has to be scheduled to after watershed - 11pm as sensitive topics can affect U18s - but rather tame so not so important 
- due impartiality - information has to be accurate as per BBCs remit so host and guests opinions may not be able to be fully stated

- lots of information would have to be told to guests 
- affected by regulations by the tiniest bit 
- inclusive and diverse , does not discuss things too controversial 
- there are alternatives for young children on sounds - eg ceebeebees
